Lightning
Thunderstorms have the ability to separate pools of both negatively and positively charges, thus creating powerful and electrical fields. Lightning is created by two oppositely charged regions that are like jumper cables since "leaders" branch out in two directions with two different directions with opposite polarities.
Nearly 24,000 people are killed globally by lightning each year.
